As an instructor, I have to admit, I’ve never written a blog post in my life. I’ve always been more of a writer. But because of the nature of blogging, I find it a little challenging to write a blog post. The one thing I do know is I really enjoy writing and sharing my experiences, so I’m excited to share these with you.
I use my blog to write about my personal experiences as a coach (and a mom of a teen), but I write about things that I like to share. In this case, swims. I write about my own swims and how they help me be my best self, especially during the summer months.
In the summertime, swims help me keep my brain, body, and soul in the right place, and they’re also a wonderful way to relieve stress. But I’m also a firm believer that the only way to get good swimming is to be forced to swim. I know from experience that if your body and mind are in such a state that you feel like you’re going to burst, that’s when its time to go to the pool.
This swim, Volcoms Swim Women, was created by a group of volunteers at the University of Massachusetts, who had the idea to create something that would be a fun, silly way to motivate other swimmers to go to the pool.
The idea was to create a swimsuit that would be both cool and encouraging for people to go to the pool. It was made up of swimsuit models, and their pictures were put on the Volcom’s Swim Women website, so that swimmers who wanted to get a picture might click on the link and see the picture on the website. The picture was of a woman wearing a bikini, with the words “Volcom” printed on it in blue.

This was the first time that the Volcoms Swim Women website was live, so it didn’t happen as a regular part of the site until later in the summer.
