I am sure that my wetsuit would be too tight if I were to wear it without a back. A back is something that makes a wetsuit stay more flimsy and helps keep it from sinking in the water, so I would definitely recommend getting a back.
It’s a good point. The wetsuits are usually very flimsy, so it can be really annoying to have to deal with. I will say that the ones that I own are made from a stretchy material. They don’t have the strength of a cotton wetsuit, but they do have the flexibility of a cotton wetsuit. I’d probably suggest looking for a wetsuit with a thick mesh backing.
